Piano Teacher and Accompanist

To teach, educate and foster a love of music through the study of the piano and it's music, with emphasis on the Classical repetoire. To accompany musicians of other instruments in pursuance of their aspirations, dreams, performances, qualifications and enjoyment of music. To encourage an understanding of the fundamental nature of education, and it's core value in the improvement of us all, as both individuals and as part of a world wide culture.

For those looking for a piano teacher at the moment, I have only a few spaces available. If I am unable to help at the moment, I can add your name to a waiting list.  If you are looking for your child to start or continue lessons please contact me either using the contact form on this website, or ring me on either phone number.  The first lesson is free.

After many years of teaching and performing I have finally been able obtain a good quality grand piano, a Yamaha C3X, one of the latest series of Grand Pianos developed by Yamaha. This is a 6' 1'', 186cm piano with a more European sound than the previous generation of Yamaha pianos.  This means that I now have a Conservatoire quality piano for both lessons and exam performances.  This will be particularly appreciated by more advanced students.

The new academic year is now in full flow, and lessons are now fully underway after the summer break.  The results from the last exams were most satisfying.  We had another excellent Examiner, who had a very reassuring manner with the candidates and whose marking reflected his experience of music in both performance and in education. Well done to all my pupils who achieved some very good results, two comfortable Passes, two Merits and one high Distinction.

The next ABRSM Special Visit will run in December.  I also hope to organise another two trips to the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra to hear some piano concertos performed in their evening or afternoon concerts.

I would like to thank all at Coach House Pianos, Swansea for all their help and advice and for supplying such a wonderful piano.  Their service has been exemplary, friendly and supportive.  They have made me feel like a VIP from the very first moment, and I cannot recommend them highly enough for anyone contemplating buying a quality piano whether new, like mine, or second hand.
